February 10, 2023 Drainage - Creative Problem Solving

A long french drain installed to drain water away from the property.

Have you ever seen property that turns into a swamp when it rains? What causes this? There can be many different reasons that a property won't drain properly. It could be the soil, the slope, or even a failed drainage system. Under most buildings, there is an underground system of drainage pipes. These can collapse, crack, get clogged with dirt, or even destroyed by tree roots.

If you have a problem with water on your property, please call us. We will come out and do a thorough inspection before recommending a solution. Sometimes, drain pipes may need to be repaired or replaced. Before we recommend an expensive repair, we will take a look inside the drain pipe using tv cameras to make sure we're not wasting your money with guesses or wishful thinking. We'll find the real problem and solve it efficiently.

As a consumer myself, I realize that we all have to be careful who we trust when we need to hire someone. Not all excavation companies have the expertise required to do a really good job. And there's a lot of trust because the work gets buried where no one can see. You might not find out for years later if the work was good or not. Even in newer buildings, we often have to go back and dig up cheap drain pipe and replace it with higher quality pipe that will won't collapse. That's why it's important to hire an excavation company you can trust to install drainage systems correctly.

FTS Excavation has over 25 years of experience in dirt work. We're always learning and growing and we won't install something unless we believe it is the best. Whether someone inspects it or not, we hold ourselves to the highest standards.
